A shocking turn has emerged in the Dundas Station stabbing incident from late November. Initial reports focused on an attack against a TTC employee, but investigators now allege a far more complex sequence of events unfolded.
The incident, which occurred shortly after 1 p.m. on November 26th at what is now known as TMU Station, began with a heated verbal altercation between a male customer and a female TTC employee near the fare wickets.
According to police statements released Saturday, the argument quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. The TTC employee allegedly drew a knife and stabbed the customer, initiating a violent exchange.
The two individuals briefly separated after the initial stabbing, but the customer reportedly returned and stabbed the TTC employee in retaliation. Both were transported to hospital with injuries that were thankfully not life-threatening.
Following the initial investigation, a 42-year-old Toronto man, Gregory Bernard, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses including assault, weapon possession, and aggravated assault. He was scheduled for a court appearance on November 27th.
However, the investigation didn’t stop there. Further scrutiny of the events led police to arrest the TTC employee as well. Rushell Tucker, 40, now faces charges of assault with a weapon, weapon possession, carrying a concealed weapon, aggravated assault, and obstructing police.
Tucker, identified in public records as a TTC station collector with a reported income of just under $103,000 in 2024, is scheduled to appear in court on January 30, 2026. The case continues to develop as investigators piece together the full story.
Police are still appealing to the public for any information related to the incident. Anyone with details is urged to contact authorities at 416-808-5204 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.
