Dashcam footage captured on a Philadelphia highway showed a loose tire rolling across the roadway before colliding with a moving vehicle.
The video, recorded from a Tesla traveling on I‑76 near Girard Avenue, shows the tire bouncing along the median and striking a Nissan SUV in the left lane.
Impact from the tire crushed the SUV’s hood and shattered its windshield, while the tire itself was propelled into the air.
Authorities have not identified the source of the tire, and it remains unclear whether any occupants sustained injuries.
