The claims stem from an 86‑page Michigan State Police report, released through a Freedom of Information request, that questioned the integrity of the 2020 election results and detailed suspicious registration activity.
Clerks in multiple Michigan counties reported receiving boxes of voter registration forms from a source identified as “Empower Michigan” or GBI Strategies, a firm that had offices in several states. The packages contained registrations with similar signatures, incomplete information, and last‑four social‑security numbers that did not match legitimate voters.
Despite the apparent irregularities, the clerks posted their concerns on a private Facebook group rather than notifying law enforcement, raising questions about the protocols for reporting potential fraud.
Investigations by state police and the FBI have focused on GBI Strategies, a firm that reportedly received substantial funding from political campaigns and tax‑exempt organizations. The firm’s activities included submitting thousands of questionable registration forms during the 2020 election.
