Man City's €60m Midfield Target Slips Away

Man City's €60m Midfield Target Slips Away

The end of the road for Rodri and Manchester City appears to be near, but the club's expectations for a bidding war are not being met.

As the transfer window reaches its sharp end, big moves are becoming a regular occurrence, and Manchester City are in the midst of a major summer rebuild following Pep Guardiola's departure.

The club's historically successful project is at risk of losing fundamental pieces, and there's no one more crucial to their play over the past five years than Rodri.

The Spanish midfielder is being strongly linked with an exit from the Etihad, and Real Madrid are reportedly the strongest candidates to acquire him.

Manchester City have accepted that Rodri wants to leave and start a new chapter, and they're hoping to get the highest possible price for him, estimated to be around €60m.

However, Real Madrid are only willing to pay around €50m, and with no other teams in the running, City may have to settle for a lower offer.
