Apple's 20th-anniversary iPhone may have the largest screen yet

Apple's 20th-anniversary iPhone may have the largest screen yet

Apple is reportedly developing a new iPhone to commemorate its 20th anniversary, featuring a significantly larger display than current models.

The prototype is said to incorporate a 7‑inch screen, up from the existing 6.9‑inch maximum, and a “quad‑curved” design that wraps the display around the device’s edges.

Although the increase translates to roughly a 3 mm diagonal expansion, reduced bezels could make the change less noticeable, yet the company is expected to market it as the largest iPhone ever produced.

The anticipated design includes a near‑bezel‑less front, a small cutout for the camera, haptic‑feedback buttons, and an upgraded camera system.

This approach mirrors the 2017 introduction of a major redesign that removed the Home button, expanded the screen size, and added a camera notch, establishing a new design language.

Industry analysts expect the anniversary model to set the aesthetic direction for the next decade of iPhone releases.
