A 35-year-old man has pleaded guilty to 19 counts of voyeurism after being caught recording women through their windows in the middle of the night. Anthony Durkan carried out 'serious and sustained predatory behaviour' over a five-year period, targeting women who were undressed and unaware they were being filmed.
Officers discovered hundreds of videos on Durkan's phone, which he had stored in a hidden folder. He repeatedly visited one woman's home in Islington, where a neighbour's doorbell camera captured him dressed in black and wearing a balaclava, filming through her windows.
A third victim was identified through the pictures, but police believe there may be more. Detectives praised the women who came forward to report Durkan's crimes, saying their reports and swift investigative work led to his arrest.

Durkan's conviction reflects the severity of these crimes, and means a dangerous individual has been brought to justice, preventing further harm to women. He will be sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court at a later date.
