A night out in London turned terrifying for Melanie Hamrick, partner of Mick Jagger, when she was unexpectedly attacked at a prestigious private club.
Hamrick revealed on social media that she was grabbed from behind by two individuals while at Annabel’s in Mayfair, a club known for its exclusive membership and high standards. The choreographer expressed immense gratitude for the swift intervention of friends who came to her aid.
“This is incredibly hard to share,” she wrote, detailing the shocking incident. “Two people grabbed me from behind, and thank god for good people who stepped in to help me.” The experience left her deeply shaken and disheartened by the act of violence.
The 38-year-old described feeling “shaken, sad and heartbroken” that anyone could inflict such an experience on another person. It is understood that Jagger, 82, was not present during the attack.
Hamrick and Jagger have been a couple since 2014, their connection blossoming during separate tours in Japan. They share a son, Devereaux Octavian Basil, born in 2016, and have been engaged for several years.
Despite a significant age difference, Hamrick has often spoken of their deep connection and contentment. She once remarked that she fears disrupting their current happiness by rushing into marriage.
The couple generally maintains a private life, but are frequently seen together at public events, showcasing a bond that has endured through time and scrutiny. The club has yet to release a statement regarding the incident.
