Victoria Hampton, later known as Victoria Burke, was entrusted with managing her partner’s finances when he was deemed capable of self-management in 2017. The deception began to unravel with a fabricated story of a new trust arrangement. A supposed transfer of £300,000 sparked confusion, then disbelief, as the victim realized no such trust existed. After a trial in November 2025, a jury found Hampton guilty of fraud and theft. On January 30, 2026, she received an 18-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. The court imposed strict conditions, a fragile attempt at accountability.
Hampton is now confined to her home on Queen’s Mary Road in New Rossington, Doncaster, between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. each night, monitored by an electronic tag. Fifteen days of rehabilitation activity were also mandated, a small step towards addressing the root of her actions.
