A Wisconsin teacher’s aide will be behind bars for decades for sick sex crimes involving four minors — including one boy she molested during a sleepover at her home .
Anna Marie Crocker, 34, was handed a 51-and-a-half year sentence on Tuesday after pleading guilty to the sexual assaults of a 12-year-old boy and 14-year-old boy, and for trying to manipulate two other teens into having sex with her, according to the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office.
The former teacher’s aide at Riverview Elementary School in Silver Lake also sent sexually explicit messages, videos and pictures to each student.
Crocker joined Silver Lake-Salem Joint 1 School District in 2020 as a substitute before going full-time the following year.
What the 12-year-old victim said
She was arrested in October 2024 for molesting the 12-year-old boy the previous winter when he was at her house with a group of friends for a sleepover, according to the criminal complaint .
The victim told police he was sleeping in the basement when the naked mother of four woke him, pulled off his pants, and sexually assaulted him.
The boy told police he tried to stop Crocker and push her off but she refused.
Crocker texted the boy for months after the incident to apologize “for what happened in the basement,” but also while “trying to make him feel guilty,” the boy said, according to the complaint.
She also warned him not to tell anyone about the incident, despite other kids witnessing the assault, court records show.
Authorities also discovered Crocker sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy in a parking lot in August 2024, after they exchanged sexual messages and photos over Snapchat, WISN reported, citing court records.
The serial predator also engaged in sexually explicit chats with a 13-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy, even trying to lure the older teen to her home just one day before her arrest.
Crocker begged for lighter sentence
Crocker apologized for her horrific acts during her sentencing hearing, and begged the judge for a lighter sentence.
“I take full responsibility for what has taken place,” she told the court, per WISN .
“I am disturbed by the harm and distress, along with the trauma that you have to endure,” she continued. “I am deeply sorry that this has caused confusion, pain and anger, and that you have to live with this the rest of your lives.”
Crocker, who won’t be eligible for release until she is in her 80s, will also be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life, prosecutors said.
“She sought out children, she used children and she took advantage of children,” the judge said after handing down the hefty sentence.
“This case represents a profound breach of trust,” District Attorney Xavier Solis said in a statement .
“When an adult connected to our schools exploits our children, the harm is severe and lasting,” Solis continued. “This sentence sends a clear message to any school employee who preys on our children, in Kenosha County, you will be held accountable.”
