VICIOUS ATTACK & BURGLARY RING SMASHED: Suspect Behind Bars!

A quiet Saturday night in Toronto was shattered when a stabbing occurred near Danforth and Carlaw Avenues. Police responded to a report of an altercation, discovering a victim had been attacked after a brief confrontation with a male suspect.

The victim received treatment for injuries that, thankfully, were not life-threatening. Investigators are now urgently seeking the public’s help to identify the assailant, who fled northbound on Carlaw Avenue immediately after the attack.

The suspect is described as a man approximately 30 years old, standing six feet tall with a medium build. He has black hair styled in a top bun and a short black beard. Witnesses last saw him wearing a distinctive outfit: a black winter jacket, black jeans, black sneakers, a black satchel, a grey scarf, and glasses.

Meanwhile, in Hamilton, a wave of relief is spreading after police successfully apprehended a suspect linked to a series of residential break-ins on the east mountain. The arrest came after information shared by the public proved crucial to the investigation.

Jose De Guzman, 46, of Brampton, now faces multiple charges including break and enter and failing to comply with probation. Police recovered property believed to be stolen during the break-ins and are working to reunite it with its rightful owners.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who recognizes the recovered items to come forward, hoping to close this chapter for the affected homeowners. The investigation into additional break-ins in the area remains active.

Further west, in Oakville, a brazen attempt to rob a jewelry store at the Oakville Place Mall was swiftly thwarted by vigilant security personnel. Four masked individuals, clad in dark clothing and gloves, entered the mall with clear intentions.

Security intervened before the robbery could unfold, causing the suspects to flee. Halton Police quickly located and apprehended the group nearby, discovering hammers, disguises, and a machete in their possession.

Phoenix Cottle, 18, along with three youths aged 14 to 15, now face a multitude of charges including robbery, disguise with intent, and possession of weapons. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.

In Pickering, a tense situation unfolded at a Moxies Restaurant on Liverpool Road early Saturday morning. A fight between two men escalated when one allegedly brandished a knife and threatened the other.

The suspect also reportedly made threats towards restaurant employees, creating a frightening atmosphere. Durham Police arrived on the scene and took the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Andrew Antoine Bonito, into custody, recovering a knife in the process.

Thankfully, neither the victim nor any of the restaurant staff sustained physical injuries. Bonito is now facing charges of assault with a weapon and uttering threats, and the investigation continues.
