AUSTIN NIGHTMARE: Terror Probe Launched After Brutal Bar Massacre!

The Austin community is reeling after a shooting at Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden claimed the lives of three young people over the weekend. Savitha Shan, 21, Jorge Pederson, 30, and Ryder Harrington, 19, were tragically killed in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Initial reports following the chaotic event indicated two civilian fatalities, but that number rose to three after Jorge Pederson was removed from life support on Monday. The shooting unfolded near the University of Texas, shattering a night of revelry and leaving fourteen others injured.

Jorge Pederson is being remembered as a powerful force within the mixed martial arts community. Friends and colleagues described him as a welcoming and dedicated mentor, inspiring countless fighters to pursue their dreams with unwavering commitment.

Savitha Shan, a bright and ambitious student at the University of Texas at Austin, was deeply involved in campus life, serving on the executive board of the Indian Students Association. Her family described her as a compassionate and caring individual who consistently sought to uplift those around her.

University of Texas President Jim Davis mourned Shan as a promising student poised to make a significant impact on the world. Colleagues at the McCombs School of Business remembered her as a standout student on track to graduate in May.

Ryder Harrington, a student at Texas Tech University and a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, is remembered as a source of joy and light by his brothers. His fraternity described him as an unforgettable presence within their brotherhood.

Harrington’s brother, Reed, expressed profound grief, stating the world was robbed of a great future with Ryder’s untimely death at just 19 years old. He described Ryder as the best of their family, a sentiment echoing the devastation felt by those who knew him.

The shooting began just after 2 a.m. when Ndiaga Diagne, 53, opened fire on patrons from his vehicle, initially targeting those on the bar’s patio. He then drove further down Sixth Street, continuing to fire at pedestrians with a rifle.

Police swiftly responded, and Diagne was shot and killed at the scene. The investigation quickly turned toward a possible terrorist motive, with authorities discovering indicators within the suspect’s vehicle and background suggesting a potential connection to terrorism.

FBI officials emphasized the investigation is ongoing and cautioned against drawing premature conclusions, but confirmed the deployment of the Joint Terrorism Task Force to thoroughly examine all aspects of the case. The possibility of a terrorist act is being treated with the utmost seriousness.

As the community mourns, at least two victims remain in critical condition, highlighting the enduring impact of this senseless act of violence. The investigation continues, seeking to understand the full scope of the tragedy and the motivations behind it.
