Nottingham Forest are reinforcing their team this summer, with a potentially impressive addition at the back reportedly on the horizon.
The club has already spent significantly in recent years, with a record £116m transfer fee received from Manchester City for Elliot Anderson giving them an even bigger budget to play with this summer.
Owner Evangelos Marinakis has made a couple of additions to the team already, as he tries to keep the club clear of the relegation battle they experienced last year.
A highly rated central defender is the subject of negotiations, with Forest reportedly confident of closing a deal shortly after a bid was sent.
The player in question is Ousmane Diomande, a 22-year-old from Ivory Coast who has gained significant domestic and European experience.
Teams have been linked with Diomande for years, with some reportedly quoting his €80m release clause and above.
However, a proposed transfer package from Forest would come in significantly lower, at around €40m, making it a huge bargain for the club.
