Arsenal’s quest for a new left winger has turned to the Brazilian forward Vinícius Junior, who is in the final year of his contract with Real Madrid.
Former Premier League manager Alan Pardew has expressed confidence that a move for the player could materialise, citing London’s appeal, the club’s recent title and the winger’s uncertain future under the current Spanish manager.
Pardew pointed out that Real Madrid has struggled to secure a renewal for Vinícius, making a transfer more likely as the player’s contract expires next year.
Arsenal reportedly possess the financial resources to offer a club‑record fee, although no formal negotiations have begun between the parties.
While the club is also monitoring other forwards, the left‑wing position remains a priority for an attacking upgrade.
A signing would add pace, unpredictability and proven quality to a line that already features Bukayo Saka, but it would require a substantial fee and wage package, and ultimately hinge on the player’s willingness to move.
