Leeds United is reportedly closing in on a significant transfer deal, with the club poised to sign young centre-back Tarik Muharemovic for a hefty £34m fee.
The deal would see half of the £34m fee go to Muharemovic's current club, Sassuolo, while the other half would go to Juventus. Muharemovic has been in impressive form with Bosnia at the World Cup, and is set to be one of the big transfer winners of the summer tournament.
In a separate move, Leeds United is also showing interest in midfielder Shea Charles of Southampton, with bids reaching up to £30m. However, it is noted that the deal for Muharemovic will not affect the club's interest in Charles, and that both players could potentially join the team if their offers are accepted.
The sale of Pascal Struijk to Brighton has given Leeds United the necessary funds to continue reshaping their squad, and getting both deals over the line could make the team a very interesting prospect for next season.
