A 33-year-old Canadian national residing in Allenhurst, New Jersey, has been charged following an assault on a teenage girl earlier this month.
Authorities say the incident occurred on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk on Friday, July 3, but details did not become public until this week.
Video footage shows the woman striking the teenager twice with an open hand after objecting to clothing displaying support for President Trump and ICE.

Prior to the physical altercation, the woman reportedly verbally berated the group of teenagers and continued to approach and harass them over their attire.
The suspect turned herself in on the morning of July 13 and was taken into custody without incident at police headquarters.
She was processed and transported to the Ocean County Jail.
Charges include simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child, harassment, and obstruction.
Federal authorities have confirmed the woman is in immigration custody pending removal proceedings.
