Canon Marketing (Philippines) Inc. has introduced the EOS R6 V, a hybrid camera built for content creators capable of reframing footage into multiple aspect ratios from a single recording.
The device records in 7K Open Gate format, capturing the full 3:2 sensor area so users can crop clips into 16:9, 9:16, or 1:1 outputs without quality loss.
It features a 32.5-megapixel sensor and an internal cooling fan to support extended video recording and live-streaming sessions.
Additional capabilities include 7K 60p RAW Light recording, uncropped 4K 120p slow motion, and Canon Log 2 and Log 3 for flexible color grading in post-production.
In-body image stabilization reduces handheld shake, while a 40 frames-per-second burst mode handles fast-moving subjects. Fourteen built-in color filters are also included.
The EOS R6 V is priced at P148,998 for the body with a free 128GB SD card. A bundle with the RF 20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ lens costs P229,998 and includes the same storage offer.
The company also outlined two training initiatives: the Canon Campus Tour, bringing hands-on creative sessions to schools, and the Canon Creator Camp, aimed at developing creators' skills.
The Creator Camp has already staged events in Cebu and Manila, with upcoming sessions scheduled in Manila, Cavite, Davao, and Baguio through September.
Several Campus Tour activities have been conducted at universities in Manila in recent months.
