The Boston Police Department is investigating a death at a home owned by the husband of Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA). Authorities responded to the Mattapan residence on Saturday afternoon after a body was discovered on the property.
The scene was quickly secured with red crime tape as the Boston Police Department's Homicide Unit took over the investigation. The department's spokesperson, Officer James Moccia, confirmed that police received an "investigate person" call for the property at 1:52 p.m.
Police arrived shortly after the call and found a dead body in the area of the home. Sgt. Det. John Boyle described the situation as a "death investigation." The home, a seven-bedroom property built in 1910, is valued at over $919,000 according to property records.

The property has been on the market for about a month, with Chantae Turner, the realtor handling the sale, stating that the same tenants had been living in the house for "a while." However, Turner declined to comment further on the circumstances or the seller of the house.
A spokesperson for Pressley declined to comment on the situation, and Harris was reportedly at a Roxbury library event that morning delivering remarks on her behalf. Boston police have not released the identity of the deceased, the cause of death, or whether foul play is suspected. The investigation remains active.
