COP'S OUTRAGEOUS THREAT: Driving School Boss Targeted!

A former police sergeant, Gabriel Chandler, once entrusted with upholding the law, launched a relentless and disturbing campaign of harassment against a driving school owner. The dispute began with a driving course for his son that never materialized, stemming from a simple administrative oversight – the school wasn’t notified of the son’s successful driving theory test.

Chandler initially demanded a full refund, but when it wasn’t immediately provided, his response escalated far beyond reasonable complaint. Beginning in February 2022, he unleashed a barrage of calls, emails, and scathing online reviews directed at Intensives UK and its owner, Mr. Elliot.

The intensity was staggering; staff reported receiving up to fifty calls a day, with one day alone seeing forty-four attempts to reach the school. This wasn’t a pursuit of funds, but a descent into obsessive and menacing behavior.

Emails revealed a chilling transformation in Chandler’s language. He branded Mr. Elliot a “thief” and a “criminal,” then spiraled into baseless and deeply damaging accusations, alleging “links to funding drugs, paedophilia and child sexual exploitation.”

The threats grew increasingly explicit and terrifying. He warned Mr. Elliot that his “homes and offices will be raided,” predicting “heavy custodial sentences” and the complete destruction of his family life. He even threatened to freeze the man’s legitimate financial accounts.

Partial and then full refunds were offered, repeatedly rejected. Money became irrelevant; Chandler’s focus shifted entirely to what he described as “taking down” Mr. Elliot, declaring he would “enjoy doing it.”

His attacks extended to online platforms, where he posted fabricated claims about the driving school staff, falsely accusing them of using aliases and misrepresenting their origins. He amplified his disturbing allegations, claiming the business was funding a horrific criminal enterprise.

When Mr. Elliot rightfully reported Chandler’s behavior to the police, the former sergeant retaliated by filing “malicious reports” against the victim with the Professional Standards Department, attempting to weaponize his position.

Chandler even pursued a deliberately misleading civil claim against Mr. Elliot, a final act of aggression that ultimately backfired. Despite the business rebranding in an attempt to escape the harassment, Chandler continued his relentless pursuit.

The misconduct panel recognized Chandler as an “intelligent and successful police officer,” emphasizing that he should have understood the imperative to maintain professional standards at all times. They found his actions demonstrably failed to meet those standards.

Ultimately, the panel determined that dismissal without notice was the only appropriate course of action, a necessary step to uphold public trust and protect the reputation of the police force. His behavior, they concluded, was simply unacceptable.

Kent Police leadership affirmed that even off-duty, officers are held to the highest ethical standards, and Chandler’s conduct fell “far below” what is expected. The vast majority of officers, they stressed, consistently demonstrate integrity and dedication to their duty.
