DELTA UNLOCKS HIDDEN SUMMER PARADISE: Book NOW Before It's GONE!

Halifax, Nova Scotia is rapidly becoming a must-see destination, and Delta is taking notice. In a significant expansion for summer 2026, the airline will add direct flights from Boston, joining a growing list of carriers recognizing the city’s appeal.

This isn’t a sudden trend; Halifax has already earned a spot on lists of top travel destinations for 2026. Anticipation is building, with overall departures to the U.S. expected to surge by 30% this summer compared to last year, fueled by new routes like United Airlines’ service from Washington D.C.

Delta won’t be alone in serving the Boston to Halifax route. Air Canada and American Airlines already connect the New England hub to Nova Scotia, promising a competitive landscape for travelers. This new service complements Delta’s existing summer flights from New York’s LaGuardia Airport.

Beyond Halifax, Delta is also introducing a new seasonal route between Austin and Asheville, North Carolina. Weekly flights will operate through Labor Day weekend, offering a convenient gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Asheville itself is a draw, famed for the majestic Biltmore Estate, extensive hiking trails, and a thriving local brewery scene. This new route solidifies Delta’s commitment to Austin, a city where the airline has been strategically expanding its presence.

While Delta is entering the Austin-Asheville market, it won’t be the only option. Budget carrier Allegiant Air already provides service between the two cities, offering travelers a range of price points.

Passengers on both the Halifax and Asheville routes can expect a comfortable experience. Delta plans to utilize its Embraer 175 regional jets, featuring a configuration of 12 first-class recliners, 20 Delta Comfort+ seats with extra legroom, and 38 standard coach seats.

These additions reflect a broader trend of airlines responding to evolving travel preferences. Halifax and Asheville represent destinations that offer unique experiences, attracting a growing number of discerning travelers seeking something beyond the typical tourist hotspots.
