Between 2023 and 2025, an estimated 3.9 million Filipinos experienced undernourishment.
This figure translates into a prevalence rate of 3.4%, the lowest level recorded since the early 2000s.
In the Southeast Asian region, the Philippines ranks second lowest in undernourishment, falling well below the regional average of 5.3% and the global average of 8.1%.

The decline reflects ongoing efforts to improve food security, though continued attention remains essential to sustain progress and address remaining nutritional gaps.
