BGT Star's SHOCKING Secret: Suicide Threat Exposed!

The investigation centered on a claim made against a young dancer, Kerri Donaldson, and the subsequent handling of a concerning statement from the accuser. Detective Constable Benjamin Harris, leading the inquiry for Hampshire Constabulary, detailed the complexities of the case during a recent inquest.

The accuser had confided in police that she would consider ending her life “if someone finds out” about the allegation. Detective Constable Harris noted this statement, recognizing it as a potential tactic for control, a pattern he’d observed in other investigations where such threats weren’t necessarily intended to be carried out.

Despite the gravity of the statement, the force took the possibility of self-harm extremely seriously. The detective immediately reported the comments to his superiors and alerted the officers involved in Donaldson’s arrest. Initial assessments placed Donaldson’s risk of self-harm at a ‘standard’ level.

However, with the benefit of hindsight, Detective Constable Harris admitted he should have directly questioned Donaldson about the accuser’s statement during the risk assessment process. This oversight, he acknowledged, was a point of reflection in the handling of the case.

During questioning, Donaldson presented as composed and stable. She displayed no outward signs of suicidal ideation, and when the accuser’s statement was discussed, she offered no indication that she was contemplating self-harm. Her demeanor suggested a woman firmly grounded in her well-being.

Donaldson further revealed to the detective that she had previously sought counseling, demonstrating a proactive approach to her mental health. This history, combined with her presentation during the interview, led investigators to believe she possessed the resources and understanding to seek help if needed.

Kerri Donaldson’s sister, Cara, offered a poignant tribute, describing her sibling as possessing a “heart of gold.” She spoke of Kerri’s ability to bring joy to those around her, and her unwavering devotion to family and friends.

Cara also highlighted Kerri’s deep passion for choreography and her dedication to teaching dance, painting a picture of a vibrant and engaged young woman whose life was filled with purpose and connection.
