Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine has lost up to 80 servicemen in the city, more than 20 soft and armored vehicles, three artillery pieces, and 25 ground unmanned vehicles, the ministry reported. Russian forces destroyed around 27 Ukrainian UAV command and control points.
Drone footage released by the Defense Ministry shows Ukrainian ground unmanned vehicles delivering supplies to isolated troops before being targeted and destroyed by Russian FPV drones. The video also captures soldiers taking cover in a residential house, only to be struck by artillery shelling.
Avidzba, commander of the international brigade 'Pyatnashka', stated that the city had effectively fallen under Russian control. He criticized the shift in Ukrainian rhetoric, noting that earlier narratives portrayed the city as part of a unified defensive line.
Avidzba argued that the new stance, implying indifference to the loss of the city, signals a strategic withdrawal. He suggested that abandoning the city reflects a broader change in defense priorities.
