The Tate brothers were arrested Saturday in Miami by US Marshals, shortly before Andrew was scheduled to cohost a bare‑knuckle boxing event. The detention follows an ongoing investigation into allegations of rape and human trafficking in the United Kingdom.
Both Andrew and Tristan Tate hold dual British and US citizenship, making them subject to extradition proceedings. British prosecutors announced they are seeking the brothers' extradition on the original charges and additional offenses authorized by the Crown Prosecution Service.
A warrant for their arrest was sealed prior to the Miami detention, and law enforcement officials confirmed the brothers were taken into custody outside the James L. Knight Center. Video footage captured the moment federal agents apprehended the pair.

The Tate brothers have a history of legal issues, including a stint in a Romanian prison in early 2023. Their latest arrest adds to a pattern of controversies surrounding the influential figures.
