Philippine President Marcos Set to Strengthen Bilateral Relations During Official Visit to Singapore.

The President of the Philippines is set to embark on a working visit to Singapore from July 14 to 16. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries ahead of Singapore's assumption of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) chairship next year.

The President's itinerary includes a courtesy call to the Prime Minister of Singapore, where the two leaders will discuss expanding cooperation in trade, investment, the environment, health, and regional and global development. The meeting will also serve to reinforce the commitment of both nations to regional stability and ASEAN Centrality.

The President will also participate in a private roundtable discussion at the Philippine Embassy in Singapore, hosted by the Milken Institute. During this discussion, he will interact with business leaders as part of the government's efforts to build on the recognition of the Philippines as an upper-middle income country.

The First Lady of the Philippines, Marie Louise Araneta-Marcos, will accompany the President on the visit and deliver a message at the Global Economic Cooperation East Summit. Her participation follows an invitation from the Future Economic Cooperation Council, a platform focused on fostering strategic economic cooperation between government and business leaders.
