Secretary of State Marco Rubio opened a ministerial gathering at the State Department this week, joined by White House advisor Stephen Miller. The meeting convened senior officials to discuss national security priorities.
During the session, Miller delivered a stark warning about what he characterized as left‑wing terrorism targeting the United States. He argued that the threat extends beyond isolated incidents to a broader ideological assault.
Miller contended that many on the political left are driven not by sincere conviction but by envy, hatred and jealousy. He said these emotions can be weaponized into a desire to dominate and cause suffering.
He described the left as viewing beauty, virtue and natural order with resentment, turning that resentment into a drive to subjugate and inflict pain. According to Miller, this mindset fuels a willingness to undermine established institutions.
Miller asserted that participants in radical protests often appear abnormal in appearance, dress and demeanor. He claimed their outward look reflects an inner corruption rooted in hatred.
He warned that existing institutions have grown too soft and cowardly to confront what he called a mortal threat. Miller urged citizens to defend their civilization with the same intensity they would use against an intruder in their own home.
