The world-famous wax museum Madame Tussauds has honored actress Kathryn Bernardo with a wax figure at its Hong Kong branch, making her the youngest Filipino to achieve this milestone.
At the unveiling of her wax figure at the Glorietta Mall, Ms. Bernardo expressed her gratitude to her fans who supported her on her two-decade journey in the entertainment industry.
She recalled the process of creating her wax figure, which took place in August 2025, and said it was an emotional experience to see herself recreated in wax.
The wax figure, dubbed "Kath-twin," captures Ms. Bernardo's look from the 2023 Outstanding Asian Star Awards in Seoul, South Korea, where she received the Outstanding Asian Star award.
The final figure is dressed in the elegant white gown she wore during the awards ceremony and features her signature "no-makeup" makeup look, framed by delicate curtain bangs and a thick knot of hair.
The wax figure will go on display at the Hong Kong branch of Madame Tussauds starting July 17.
Ms. Bernardo's image joins other lifelike Filipino wax figures at the Hong Kong Madame Tussauds, including those of boxer Manny Pacquiao, singer Lea Salonga, beauty queens Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray, and fellow actress Anne Curtis.
For Ms. Bernardo, Hong Kong is a special place, as it was the setting of one of her biggest movies, Hello, Love, Goodbye, where she played Joy, a struggling domestic worker who finds love.
She hopes that her wax figure will inspire more Filipinos to pursue their dreams and strive for excellence, and that it will serve as a reminder that "big dreams are valid."
Ms. Bernardo's mother, Luzviminda Bernardo, also expressed her gratitude to Madame Tussauds for recognizing her daughter's achievements, saying, "It's another milestone for her career and also for our family."
