GCASH has partnered with KwikCare to introduce the first health maintenance organization coverage available for purchase directly through its app.
The coverage is sold through the e‑wallet’s in‑app insurance platform, GInsure, and begins at a monthly fee of P995.
The plan covers inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and laboratory services.
Enrollees receive cashless access to more than 2,000 accredited healthcare providers nationwide and benefit up to P350,000, plus an optional personal accident coverage of up to P1 million.
Family members may be added to the plan at no additional cost.
The partnership seeks to broaden access to health coverage by making it available through a platform used daily by many Filipinos.
GInsure has issued 119 million policies and insured 27 million users as of March.
The user base is largely outside Metro Manila, with 67 percent aged 23‑45, 76 percent from socioeconomic classes D and E, and 56 percent female.
