The all-female rock band L7 has announced that bassist Jennifer Finch will not be joining them on their final tour after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. The Last Hurrah Tour was set to kick off in October, marking the group's 40th anniversary since forming in Los Angeles. Finch, 59, is currently undergoing extensive medical care and rehabilitation after undergoing multiple surgeries and experiencing serious complications.
L7 expressed their support for Finch on Instagram, stating that they will honor her request to continue the tour without her. The group has also set up a GoFundMe to support Finch's medical fees, in-home nursing care, and other expenses. Over $213,300 has been raised so far, with donations from fellow punk legends Garbage and Bikini Kill.
Finch's diagnosis has sparked an outpouring of support from fans and fellow musicians, with many praising her impact on the music world. A significant portion of the funds raised will go towards a creative project that was scheduled for release next year. Finch's family has also shared a heartfelt message on her page, thanking fans for their love and support.
