Streetsville, a historic village in Mississauga, is currently hosting a temporary film set for a forthcoming Netflix feature based on a popular 2020 novel.
The set occupies the former location of The Littlest Gift Boutique on Queen Street, where the storefront has been transformed into a fictional bookshop and café for the production.
The boutique will remain closed until late July to accommodate filming, while nearby coffee shops and small businesses continue to serve visitors and locals.

Among those nearby is The Bake and Brew Café, owned by Armi, whose shop has attracted additional attention as passersby seek the atmosphere of the film set.
Armi, who opened the café two years ago, has noted an increase in foot traffic and expressed gratitude for the community interest sparked by the production.
The presence of the film crew has highlighted Streetsville’s blend of historic charm and contemporary small‑business culture, including establishments such as the Franklin House pub and The Tea Room.

Recent renovations, such as the conversion of the historic Odd Fellows Hall into a Yemeni coffee company, underscore the village’s commitment to local entrepreneurship.
Business owners and residents emphasize the importance of maintaining a balance between commercial vitality and community wellbeing, citing the need for vibrant, safe public spaces.
The film production brings national attention to Streetsville’s unique character and supports the growth of its local economy.
Visitors to the village can explore a range of establishments that reflect both heritage and modern flair, offering an engaging experience for residents and tourists alike.
