The detention of Kaitlyn Tracey by immigration authorities has drawn public attention to her husband, Matthew Geroni, whose own social media activity has since surfaced.
Geroni initially used social media to appeal for help, stating that his wife was being held in Ocean County jail and that he could not reach her.
His public presence, however, led to the discovery of earlier posts containing violent and threatening rhetoric.
In one post, Geroni expressed a wish that President Trump and his entire family, including young children, be afflicted with cancer.
He also urged another assassination attempt against the president and celebrated reported medical diagnoses involving Trump.
Additional posts directed at local government officials contained explicit threats referencing the knowledge of their residences and workplaces.
One message warned that community members know where politicians live, work, and where their children attend school.
Geroni further drew scrutiny after posting content that mocked the killing of political commentator Charlie Kirk.
The combination of Tracey’s assault case and Geroni’s documented statements has intensified public scrutiny of the couple.
