A vehicle collided with the U.S. Pardon Attorney Ed Martin on Friday night, causing no injuries.
Martin reported that the crash involved two Hispanic men who were driving while intoxicated. One of the men was so drunk that he returned to the vehicle to retrieve personal items.
After the impact, both men fled on foot. The car was uninsured and its registration was linked to an unknown owner.

Law enforcement officials have not yet announced any arrests, and the incident remains under investigation.
Martin, who has served as the U.S. Pardon Attorney since May 2025, was unharmed in the collision.
He was appointed by the former president and had previously led the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C.
Martin earned a J.D. from Saint Louis University and completed a program in Indonesian Studies while studying abroad in Indonesia.
