GB News faced significant backlash after a guest linked attendees of LGBTQ+ Pride marches to paedophilia and bestiality.
During a segment aired on 5 July, Catholic journalist Caroline Farrow discussed the 4 July Pride in London, where more than 35,000 people marched from Hyde Park Corner to Whitehall under the theme “Many Voices, One Front.”
Farrow and a former Liberal Democrat councillor debated whether Pride is appropriate for children, asserting that the event is “very sexualised” and includes “bizarre and unhealthy kinks.”

The segment also referenced furries, bestiality, and “minor‑attracted” individuals, equating them with paedophiles.
Prominent figures responded with an open letter to the regulator, describing the remarks as dangerous and demanding accountability for the spread of misinformation.
The letter warned that such statements could mislead viewers and urged the broadcaster to enforce its obligations under the broadcasting code.
A GB News spokesperson clarified that the views expressed were those of the interviewee, not the channel’s editorial position, and noted that other contributors challenged the comments on air.
The statement reaffirmed the broadcaster’s commitment to regulatory standards and its responsibility as a regulated media outlet.
This incident follows a 2025 apology issued after a host compared LGBTQ+ people to paedophiles.
The debate underscores ongoing tensions over the framing of Pride events and the role of media in shaping public discourse.
