Comer revealed an email detailing a deliberate effort by Democratic fundraisers to facilitate a private meeting between Jeffries and Epstein in 2013. The purpose? To secure financial support for the Democrats’ bid to regain control of the House of Representatives.
This wasn’t a casual encounter; it was a direct solicitation of funds. The revelation is particularly damaging given that Epstein had already been convicted of sex crimes years prior, in 2008, making any association deeply problematic.
“Another email shows that Democrat fundraisers invited Epstein to an event or to meet privately with Hakeem Jeffries as part of their 2013 effort to win a majority,” Comer stated on the House floor. “So, Hakeem Jeffries’ campaign solicited money from Jeffrey Epstein! That’s what we found in the last document batch.”
Jeffries is not the only Democrat facing scrutiny. Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett was previously found to have been exchanging text messages with Epstein during critical congressional testimony concerning former President Trump.
These weren’t simply idle exchanges. The texts reveal Epstein actively monitoring the proceedings and seemingly coaching Plaskett on lines of questioning during Michael Cohen’s 2019 testimony.
