A concertgoer in Toronto became the victim of a brazen theft and assault on October 26th, around 8 p.m. near Front and Bay Streets. One of three female suspects allegedly approached the victim, stole their cellphone, and then physically assaulted them.
Police are actively seeking the three women, described as being between 25 and 30 years old, and were seen wearing leggings and athletic tops at the time of the incident. Investigators emphasize that the victim and suspects had no prior connection to each other.
In Scarborough, a business was targeted twice by a trio of thieves who repeatedly stole items using a dark blue or black van. The incidents occurred between November 20th and 22nd in the Bermondsey Road and Eglinton Avenue area.
The suspect vehicle is easily identifiable due to a missing front license plate and noticeable damage to the driver’s side. Police have not yet released descriptions of the individuals involved in these thefts.
A lengthy investigation into a series of commercial break-ins culminated in over 90 charges being laid against two suspects and the recovery of a significant amount of stolen property. The investigation began on October 7th, focusing on a small, organized crime group.
Recovered items included two pick-up trucks, an RV trailer, high-end designer sunglasses, valuable contracting tools, beauty supplies, vapes, jewelry, and numerous stolen cell phones. The suspects were apprehended after attempting to flee on foot when officers intervened on November 14th.
Charles Duguay, 52, of Alexandria, Ontario, faces multiple charges, including numerous violations of his probation. Michelle Elida Wright, 39, of Mississauga, is also facing a substantial number of charges, including multiple failures to comply with both release orders and probation conditions.
A cannabis store in Aurora was the scene of a terrifying robbery on Friday evening around 11 p.m. near Bayview Avenue and Hollidge Boulevard. Four suspects entered the store and threatened an employee with a sword before stealing cannabis products.
The suspects in the Aurora robbery were all male and were wearing dark clothing. Police are continuing their investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible for this violent crime.
A woman from Toronto now faces multiple charges after attempting to evade police in Oshawa. The incident began around 12:40 a.m. on Friday when an officer initiated a traffic stop near King Street and Thornton Road.
When the vehicle refused to stop, a pursuit was initiated but quickly abandoned due to the suspect’s escalating speed. Shortly after, the vehicle was discovered abandoned after colliding with a boulder near Park Road and Hillside Avenue.
Kathleen Mary Laffan, 39, was located near the scene and transported to the hospital with minor injuries. She is now charged with failing to stop for police, dangerous operation of a vehicle, multiple vehicle registration and license violations, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, and obstructing a peace officer.
