RAPPER FREED: Abduction Case EXPLODES!

The case of Elnaz Hajtamiri, a woman vanished after a terrifying abduction, has taken another unexpected turn. A kidnapping charge against Toronto rapper Deshawn Davis, known as Thorobread, has been temporarily dropped, leaving a chilling question mark over the pursuit of justice.

Davis was accused of being one of three men who impersonated police officers to snatch Hajtamiri from a home in Wasaga Beach on January 12, 2022. This abduction followed weeks of fear for Hajtamiri, who had fled to Wasaga Beach after a brutal attack in her Richmond Hill parking garage.

That initial attack involved two men wielding a frying pan, leaving Hajtamiri deeply shaken and convinced her life was in danger. Now, nearly four years later, she remains missing, and authorities believe she is deceased – a grim reality that haunts the investigation.

Complicating matters, Davis is currently incarcerated in the United States, facing serious charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder. These charges stem from a deadly shooting at a Miami Beach nightclub, GALA, where a talent scout for Chris Brown Entertainment, Lowell “Lo” Grissom, was killed and two women injured.

Davis, once a fugitive on most wanted lists in both Canada and the U.S., was finally apprehended in California last August. His arrest in the U.S. has now led to the temporary suspension of the kidnapping charge in Canada.

Prosecutors cited Davis’s ongoing legal battles in the U.S. as the reason for withdrawing the charge, stating in court that they “reserve the right to recommence proceedings” should his circumstances change. This leaves the door open for future prosecution, but offers no immediate answers.

The investigation has already seen several individuals charged in connection with both the initial assault and the subsequent abduction. Harshdeep Binner and Riyasat Singh have pleaded guilty to the assault and received their sentences.

Mohamad Lilo, Hajtamiri’s ex-boyfriend and believed to be the architect of both the frying pan attack and the kidnapping, was recently found guilty of aggravated assault. He awaits sentencing in early 2026, after which he will face trial for Hajtamiri’s murder.

Charges against others – Jaspreet Singh, Akash Rana, Harshpreet Sekhon, Krystal P. Lawrence, and Dominique Ewan – have been stayed. Adams Ankamah’s charges were also withdrawn, adding to the complex web of legal proceedings.

Recently, Sukhpreet Singh was taken into custody in Texas by immigration officials and extradited to Ontario. He now faces charges of aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence related to the initial attack in Richmond Hill, and remains in custody.

Despite these developments, the core mystery remains: what happened to Elnaz Hajtamiri? Investigators believe many people hold crucial information, and the search for answers continues, shadowed by the haunting possibility that a terrible truth remains hidden.
