CAPALDI UNLEASHES: Engaged Couple REGRETS Meeting Their Idol!

Lewis Capaldi, back on stage after a challenging hiatus, is finding his concerts are becoming unexpectedly popular venues for life-altering decisions. While thrilled to be reconnecting with fans on his Australian tour, the singer has playfully – and repeatedly – called out those who choose to propose mid-performance.

The first instance occurred in Brisbane, during his heartfelt ballad “Love the Hell Out of You.” As a couple embraced amidst their engagement, Capaldi, with characteristic wit, jokingly lamented that they were “taking the shine off me.” He extended his congratulations, but not before declaring, “It’s my concert!” and playfully anticipating a wedding invitation.

The trend continued in Sydney, where cameras swiveled from Capaldi to capture another proposal unfolding in the audience. Displayed on the arena’s massive screens, the moment drew cheers, prompting Capaldi to quip, “That’s enough, put the cameras back on me!” His playful protest – “How dare you come here and propose! This is my show!” – ignited laughter throughout the venue.

But Capaldi didn’t stop there. Acknowledging the romantic spectacle, he turned his attention to the single attendees, delivering a darkly humorous observation. “There’s a lot of single, sad people at my shows as well,” he stated, “so you just fking showed them what true love is and now almost 20,000 people hate you.”

Capaldi’s return to the stage is a significant moment, following a period of stepping back from music after experiencing difficulties with his Tourette’s syndrome during a Glastonbury performance in 2023. He bravely returned to Worthy Farm this year, followed by a sold-out 17-date arena tour across the UK.

The response to his comeback has been deeply moving. At his first show in Sheffield, Capaldi expressed genuine humility, acknowledging the overwhelming support. “It’s quite overwhelming after all that time off,” he confessed, “it genuinely means the world. I’m genuinely still humbled this is still a possibility for me.”

He’s currently continuing his “Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent” tour with dates in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth. The tour will then extend to the United States, South America, and further UK cities including Dublin, Cardiff, Leeds, London, Belfast, and Manchester next summer.
