Despite six years of guiding viewers through the mystery of masked celebrities, Dommett found himself on the receiving end of a stern talking-to from producers. He accidentally revealed the identity of one of the contestants during filming, a cardinal sin in a show built on secrecy.
This year’s festive lineup includes Santa’s Sack, Goose A-Laying, Figgy Pudding, and Mistletoe, but for one performer, the game was effectively over before it began. The premature reveal occurred during a moment of unguarded reaction from the host.
It all unfolded when Mistletoe let out a uniquely recognizable laugh. Dommett, instantly recognizing the sound, blurted out the celebrity’s name without a second thought. The studio audience erupted in laughter as a mortified Dommett sank out of sight.
