Former Bachelor contestant blasts Air Canada for vomit-soiled seat
Liz Sandoz Presta shares video complaining about recent Air Canada flight in which she was forced to clean up someone elses vomit from her plane seat.

Air Canada is under fire after a reality show contestant took to social media to complain about a recent allegedly disgusting flight she was forced to endure.

Liz Sandoz Presta, who appeared on the 21st season of The Bachelor , shared details of her “gross” seat on an Air Canada aircraft.

“Air Canada made me sit in someone else’s vomit for an eight-hour international flight and then acted like it was no big deal,” Sandoz Presta claimed in an Oct. 16 Instagram reel .

The dating show alum explained in the caption what happened when she came across the nasty area.

“The staff was alerted before takeoff that my seat was soiled,” Sandoz Presta wrote. “It was then confirmed, through the flight log, that someone on the previous had thrown up in my seat.”

They then allegedly made her clean up the mess herself.

“Not only was @aircanada’s response inappropriate but a serious health risk,” Sandoz Presta added.

The content creator even pointed out various passenger protection regulations from around the world, including Air Canada’s own Conditions of Carriage.

In her video, she recalled how she immediately noticed “something was off,” explaining how the “buttons were sticky” and there was a “funky smell” before noticing “chunks of food on the remote control [and] sprayed on the wall.”

She added: “It was really gross.”

A flight attendant informed her there were no other available seats and was “brought a biohazard kit to clean It up myself.”

The birth coach and doula later learned that as a passenger, she is not allowed to sit in other people’s bodily fluids nor be exposed to the harsh chemicals used to clean it up.

“I was very uncomfortable for the eight-hour flight,” she said. “I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t touch anything. I had to get home to my kids so I had to take this flight.”

Sandoz Presta revealed that she reached out to Air Canada about the incident, but was “disappointed” by their response.

“There was no real apology, nothing meaningful done and they didn’t take real accountability for their actions,” she said.

“Nobody should have to buy a ticket and then be forced to sit in a biohazard,” she continued. “Air Canada, you need to do better.”

The Toronto Sun reached out to Air Canada but did not receive an immediate response.

The said in a statement to People that they are “reaching out to the individual to apologize and to resolve the matter.”

They added: “We deeply regret this customer’s experience, which is clearly unacceptable.”

In 2023, Air Canada issued an apology to two women who were kicked off a flight from Las Vegas to Montreal after complaining about vomit on their seats .

“They clearly did not receive the standard of care to which they were entitled,” the airline said in a statement at the time, adding it is “reviewing this serious matter internally and have followed up with the customers directly as our operating procedures were not followed correctly in this instance.”
