Eddy Betancourt, 61, was discovered unresponsive with a gunshot wound after a frantic 911 call reported a man lying injured and not breathing. First responders arrived at a business in the 800 block of North Ware Road to find Betancourt with no pulse, the scene quickly designated as a homicide.
Authorities have identified Reynaldo Mata-Rios, 60, as the suspect in Betancourt’s death and have issued a warrant for his arrest on a charge of first-degree murder. Mata-Rios is described as approximately six feet tall, weighing 195 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
