Investigators have secured a court order to identify two teenage brothers wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Brampton earlier this month.
Peel Regional Police responded to reports of a shooting near Edenbrook Hill Drive and Earlsbridge Boulevard at approximately 3:40 p.m. on July 5.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult male with a gunshot wound. The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to a trauma centre, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities have identified the suspects as Shemii Whittaker and Shemel Whittaker, both 17 years old and from Brampton. The brothers are each wanted on charges of first-degree murder.
Police warn that the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public are advised not to approach them and to contact emergency services immediately if seen.
Investigators are urging the suspects to obtain legal counsel and surrender to police. Anyone assisting or harbouring the fugitives could face arrest and criminal charges.

A court order permits the release of the youths’ names and photographs for five days or until either is taken into custody, whichever comes first.
Those with information about the case or the suspects’ whereabouts are asked to contact the Homicide Bureau or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
