Toronto police are actively searching for a suspect after a stabbing occurred in the city’s west end shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday.
Officers responded to reports of a stabbing near the intersection of Bloor Street West and Christie Street and found a 22‑year‑old man and a 19‑year‑old woman with non‑life‑threatening stab wounds. Both victims were transported to hospital for treatment.
The suspected assailant is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a slim build, wearing a dark‑coloured ski mask and dark clothing. Police ask anyone with information to contact the department immediately.
In a separate investigation, police are seeking a suspect linked to a break‑and‑enter that took place on Thursday, July 23, in the Kennedy and Ellesmere Roads area of Scarborough.
The suspect forced entry into a residence, stole personal items, and fled after being confronted by the homeowner. He was last seen walking toward Kennedy Road.
Authorities describe the individual as a male, 20‑30 years old, about 6 feet tall with a thin build, dressed in a black shirt, black pants and black sandals. Images of the suspect have been released to the public.

Police in Kitchener responded to a report of a male brandishing a knife at a public pool on Woodside Avenue at approximately 7:50 p.m. on Saturday.
Officers apprehended two youths, both 17 years old, and charged them under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The first was charged with utter threats to cause death or bodily harm, while the second faced charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, and two counts of assault with a weapon.
No physical injuries were reported in the Kitchener incident. The police continue to investigate all three cases and encourage the public to provide any relevant tips.
