A tense search is underway for a suspect connected to a violent double stabbing in Toronto’s west end, near Liberty Village, last October. Investigators have released images hoping the public can help identify the man responsible for a brutal attack that left two injured.

The incident unfolded just before 3 a.m. on October 13th, on Queen Street West. Police responded to reports of a confrontation that quickly escalated into a dangerous situation. A vehicle carrying the suspect and another individual approached a group, sparking a heated argument.

The suspect reportedly exited the vehicle and physically attacked the group, initiating a fight. The situation turned critical when, according to police, the man produced a knife and stabbed two members of the group before fleeing in the vehicle with his passenger.

He was last seen wearing a black North Face hooded sweater, black pants, and carrying a black satchel.

Police are also seeking information regarding a dark-coloured Mazda CX-9 believed to have been used in the escape. The investigation continues as authorities work to piece together the events of that night and bring the perpetrator to justice.

In a separate incident, police in Ajax are investigating a break-in at a local Dairy Queen that occurred last fall. A man allegedly stole cash from multiple registers before making his escape in a silver Dodge Journey.

Adding to the series of investigations, Durham Regional Police responded to a call at Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital early Thursday morning. A man arrived at the emergency department suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was immediately transferred to a trauma centre in Toronto, where he is currently in stable condition. The location of the shooting remains unknown, and police are actively seeking information to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
