HE KILLED AFTER CALLING HER HIS SOULMATE?!

A man once calling his wife “the greatest thing in my life” now sits in jail, accused of her murder. William “Bill” Stevenson, 77, was arrested this week in connection with the death of his wife, Linda Stevenson, 64, following a police investigation that began with a reported domestic dispute.

Police responded to the couple’s Delaware home on December 28th to find Linda Stevenson unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the cause of death currently undisclosed. Stevenson is being held on $500,000 bail as the investigation unfolds.

The tragic case takes a startling turn when considering Stevenson’s past. He was previously married to Jill Biden, the former First Lady, for five years in the early 1970s, when she was a young student. Despite their divorce, Stevenson once spoke fondly of the impact of that relationship.

In a 2020 interview, Stevenson stated he harbored no resentment over the divorce. “I’m not bitter because, if it wasn't for my divorce, I would never have met my wife Linda and she's the greatest thing in my life,” he said, a statement now echoing with chilling irony.

Stevenson has previously made accusations regarding Jill Biden and former President Joe Biden, alleging an affair that began before his divorce. These claims have been consistently denied by the Bidens. The past now casts a long shadow over the present tragedy.

Linda Stevenson’s daughter, Christine Vettori, shared her devastating grief in a public post. She described her mother as her best friend, a constant presence in her life with whom she spoke daily and shared weekly dinners.

Vettori’s words paint a picture of an incredibly close bond. “The pain of losing her is paralyzing and the emptiness in my heart is an abyss,” she wrote, expressing a profound sense of loss. “Most days I can barely breathe.”

The two women shared a unique connection, having grown up alongside each other. Vettori explained that her mother had her at a young age, and they navigated life’s challenges together, supported by a strong network of women.

Now, Vettori is determined to honor her mother’s memory by seeking justice. “Together we will honor her memory by seeking justice for her murder and never letting her legacy to be overshadowed by her murderer,” she vowed, a daughter’s fierce love and grief fueling her resolve.
