A man is sought for a series of fires that were deliberately set downtown this month.
And investigators have now released an image of the suspected arsonist hoping members of the public recognize him and come forward.
Toronto police say officers responded to “numerous” fire calls in the area of Yonge and Richmond Sts. between Oct. 8 and 16.
The firebug attended the area on “multiple occasions” and lit objects on fire, police said in a statement released Wednesday, explaining the fires caused damage to private property.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
The suspect is described as 35 to 40 years old, with a medium build, balding, and he unshaven. He was wearing a black “Zoo York” top, black pants, black shoes, and a black cross body bag.
Anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is urged to call police at 416-808-5200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
