SUPER BOWL NIGHT TURNS DEADLY: NFL STAR SHOT!

The celebratory atmosphere following Super Bowl LX shattered early Monday morning when San Francisco 49ers defensive end Keion White became the victim of a shooting in a San Francisco nightclub.

Police responded to reports of a disturbance at Dahlia’s, a bar and nightclub on Mission Street, where a verbal altercation had escalated into violence. White sustained a gunshot wound to the ankle and was immediately transported to a local hospital.

Initial investigations suggest the shooting stemmed from a dispute involving rapper Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Jones. Reports indicate a Super Bowl party, complete with entertainment, was underway when tensions flared.

White, 27, was attending a separate, private event within the club when the incident occurred. Witnesses described a confrontation when Jones and his group attempted to gain access to White’s party.

Accounts vary, with some reports claiming White directly engaged in an argument with the rapper, while police statements to CBS suggest he wasn’t involved in the initial dispute. Regardless, the escalating situation culminated in gunfire.

Emergency surgery was performed on White’s ankle Monday, and medical professionals have indicated his injury is not expected to be career-ending or life-threatening. The investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been made.

The incident occurred just hours after the 49ers competed in the Super Bowl at Levi’s Stadium. White joined the team in October, acquired from the New England Patriots.

This shooting marks the second time in the past 18 months a 49ers player has been injured by gunfire. In August 2024, wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was shot during a robbery attempt in downtown San Francisco.
