TORONTO MAN ON THE RUN: SCHOOL THREAT & BOLD BREAK-IN – DETAILS REVEALED!

A search is underway for Corey Ramsey, a 39-year-old with no fixed address, following a brazen break-in last Friday in Toronto. The incident occurred in the area of Broadview Avenue and Danforth Avenue around 4 a.m., leaving residents shaken and prompting a police investigation.

Ramsey is accused of not only entering an apartment building but also gaining access to storage lockers located in the building’s underground parking garage. Multiple items were reportedly stolen, deepening the scope of the alleged crime.

Investigators have issued warrants for Ramsey’s arrest on a series of charges, including two counts of breach of probation, failure to comply with a release order, and multiple counts of breaking and entering. He is described as approximately 5-foot-10 with a slim build and was last seen wearing a dark-coloured jacket and sweater.

Meanwhile, in Ajax, a 17-year-old faces serious charges after a firearm was discovered at Father Donald Maclellan Catholic Secondary School. Authorities were alerted Tuesday morning to the possibility of a student possessing a weapon.

Police swiftly located the teen and took him into custody without incident. A search revealed not only a firearm with a prohibited extended magazine but also the presence of drugs, raising concerns about the escalating situation.

The youth, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was already under a weapons prohibition at the time of his arrest. He now faces charges including carrying a concealed weapon and unauthorized possession of a firearm, and remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

In Mississauga, a man already prohibited from possessing weapons is facing a fresh wave of charges. Mubarak Rirash, 37, was arrested alongside another individual following searches at two locations in Mississauga and downtown Toronto.

The searches yielded a loaded firearm, a quantity of cocaine and Oxycodone, and over $5,000 in cash. Rirash is now charged with multiple firearms offenses, including possession of a firearm while under a lifetime weapons ban, and drug possession.

Abadir Jimale, 41, of Toronto, was also arrested and faces charges related to drug possession and possession of the proceeds of crime. The investigation highlights the ongoing challenges of enforcing weapons bans and combating illegal drug activity in the region.

Earlier this week, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) determined there were no grounds to criminally charge two Halton police officers involved in a tragic triple-fatal crash in Milton. The decision follows a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

York Regional Police are also investigating a reported “fake kidnapping and ransom scam,” urging the public to remain vigilant. Additionally, witnesses are being sought in connection with two separate attempted arson cases within York Region, underscoring a recent increase in concerning criminal activity.
