Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign 18-year-old centre-back Elijah Upson after he declined a new contract offer from Tottenham.
The defender is the son of former Arsenal player Matthew Upson, adding a notable family connection to the move across north London.
Upson had been linked with several top clubs, including Chelsea and Bayern Munich, while Tottenham pushed to retain him.

The agreement is now complete, with the transfer set to be officially announced in the near future.
Upson has built a strong reputation during his time in Tottenham's academy and is regarded as a promising talent for Arsenal's long-term plans.
His father, Matthew Upson, began his senior career at Arsenal after joining from Luton Town and made 57 appearances for the club.

He was part of the Premier League title-winning squad in the 2001/02 season before later playing for Birmingham City, West Ham United, and Stoke City.
Arsenal supporters will now watch closely to see whether the younger Upson can develop into a key figure at the Emirates Stadium.
