Man Utd urged to sign £68m Arsenal star in transfer warning

Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has revealed he previously advised the club to sign Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise before their moves to Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

Eze helped Arsenal win the Premier League and reach the Champions League final last season after a £68m transfer from Crystal Palace. Olise has since become one of the leading attacking players in world football following his departure from Palace to Bayern Munich.

Yorke stated he told the club to sign both players years before their eventual moves, suggesting a combined investment of around £100m. He said the recommendation was initially met with scepticism internally.

The former forward also urged Manchester United to appoint Unai Emery as manager before the club named Ruben Amorim in the role. Yorke noted that other voices with larger platforms were heard instead.

Yorke is now pressing the club to act on a new recommendation: signing 18-year-old Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi. The Morocco international impressed at the World Cup and has drawn interest from Arsenal and Manchester City as well as United.

Describing Bouaddi as the future around which to build the squad, Yorke pointed to his composure, positional discipline, and creativity. He argued the teenager would develop further under the right coaching and exposure.

Manchester United have already added two midfielders this summer but require a third following Casemiro's departure and a serious injury to Manuel Ugarte. Yorke believes Bouaddi fits that need.
