Man wanted for woman's murder in Niagara Region may have fled the country
Manpreet Singh, 27, of Brampton, is sought for the killing of Amanpreet Saini, of North York, whose body was found in a park in Lincoln, Ont., on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025.

A 27-year-old man suspected of killing a Toronto woman found slain in a Niagara Region park is believed to have fled the country.

Niagara Regional Police say the victim was discovered in Charles Daley Park in the Town of Lincoln – just west of St. Catharines – on Tuesday.

“Following the completion of a postmortem examination, police have identified the victim as 27-year-old Amanpreet Saini of North York,” police said in a statement released Friday.

Homicide detectives subsequently identified a Brampton man as a suspect in the woman’s murder.

Manpreet Singh is now wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder.

“Investigators have information to suggest that Singh fled the country shortly after Amanpreet’s body was discovered,” police said. “This is believed to have been a targeted attack with no ongoing threat to public safety.”

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Singh or this murder is urged to call the Homicide Unit at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009451, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
