US Launches Fourth Day of Attacks on Iran's Naval Targets

The United States has launched a fourth consecutive day of airstrikes against Iran, targeting sites across the country, including coastal areas and ports. The US military described the previous day's mission as a "five-hour operation" aimed at degrading Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping. The renewed US attacks have resulted in at least 28 deaths in Iran.

In response to the US attacks, Iran has continued to launch missile and drone attacks on neighboring countries. Bahrain reported that its military had successfully intercepted and destroyed several Iranian drones and missiles on Tuesday. The attacks have raised concerns about the escalating conflict in the region.

The US military has resumed its naval blockade of ships traveling to and from Iranian ports, with over 20 US Navy warships and hundreds of military aircraft operating across the Middle East. The blockade, which was lifted on June 18, was reinstated following fresh Iranian attacks on cargo ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) warned that any vessel suspected of entering or departing the blockaded area without authorization is subject to interception, diversion, and capture. The blockade is expected to have significant implications for shipping and trade in the region.

Iran's state news agency reported three consecutive explosions in the port city of Bandar Abbas, which was one of the targets of the US airstrikes. Iranian lawmakers have issued a statement declaring the end of the memorandum of understanding with the US and calling for new legislation to manage the Strait of Hormuz on Iran's terms.

US President Donald Trump has announced that he is abandoning plans to charge a 20% toll on cargo heading through the Strait of Hormuz, following opposition from Gulf nations. Instead, Trump said he would invest in the US and work with Gulf countries on a new proposal.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Israel will retaliate powerfully if Iran carries out an attack on his country. Netanyahu's comments came during a news conference, where he emphasized Israel's commitment to defending itself against Iranian aggression.

India has condemned Iranian attacks on two commercial ships near the Strait of Hormuz, which killed an Indian national and injured 10 others. The attacks have been widely condemned, with the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence reporting that Iranian cruise missiles hit the oil tankers near Oman's coast.

A Dutch shipping firm reported that one of its tankers came under attack off the coast of Oman in the Arabian Sea, with all mariners on board safe and accounted for after the attack. The incident is believed to be related to the ongoing conflict in the region.

Bahrain reported that Iran continued its attacks on its country on Tuesday, with the military successfully intercepting and destroying several drones and missiles. The incident highlights the ongoing tensions in the region and the risk of further escalation.
